KNOW YOUR RIGHTS WITH ICE

More and more, there are stories of individuals being questioned and detained in public by ICE officials. In public, immigration agents have increased their presence and actions by asking individuals for their papers. Both documented and undocumented people living in the United States have constitutional rights.

If you are stopped in public, here are your rights:
·      You have the right to remain silent. You do not need to speak to the immigration officers or answer any questions.
·      You may refuse a search.
·      You have the right to speak to a lawyer.
